Infosistema Business Consulting unit was formally created at the end of 2009, in pursuit of further business expansion, complementing the services and solutions available from the other three business units:

• IT Consulting
• SaaS (Software as a Service)
• Technology

Having previous experience in business consulting activities, mainly as part of information systems development and integration projects, Infosistema decided to formally create an independent business unit in order to expand its services and solutions and harness the business knowledge acquired and held throughout more than 14 years in a variety of industries, mainly Banking, Insurance and Public Sector.

Positioning and Area of Activity

Considering 3 levels of activity in the Consulting market:

Strategic Consulting: is focused on organization strategy, with top-level management involvement (CEO, Executive Council, Board);

Business Consulting: aligned with the defined strategy, is focused on business processes design, reengineering and optimization, on management and decision support and on results improvements, with deep involvement of business unit managers;

Information Technology Consulting: is focused on the technology component that supports business processes and organization strategy, requiring Chief Information Officers and Information Technology managers’ involvement. Information Technologies are nowadays a most important and inevitable part of an organization and must be seen as an drive to innovation and operational improvement. Many strategy-aligned business processes are supported by Information Technologies and Systems and for that reason in this level of consulting there is a huge and diverse amount of services and products, like customized software development, outsourcing and technology integration,

Infosistema Business Consulting unit positions itself to offer the market services and solutions in two areas (see picture below), covering the Business Consulting level and assuring its transition to the Information Technology level:

• Business Consulting focused on business process design and improvement, on management and decision support and on project management;
• In a tight relationship with the other Infosistema business units, consulting in IT Systems analysis, design and architecture, assuring the right transition and alignment between IT and business.
